Maya Stewart

Maya Stewart (Maya Khonje-Stewart) is a Malawian social entrepreneur with over 15 years of experience in business development and clean energy access. As co-founder and director of Yellow Africa, a pay-as-you-go solar home system distributor serving rural households across Malawi, Uganda, Rwanda, Zambia, and Madagascar, she has delivered energy to over 500,000 customers. She is also founder of the Maeve Project (2012), focused on distributing fuel-efficient cookstoves, and co-founder of Lenziemill Milling Ltd., supporting over 3,000 smallholder farmers. A dedicated Rotarian and recognized rising energy leader, Stewart advocates for off-grid renewable energy as the future of African electrification.
