Maurice Parets

Maurice Parets is an experienced energy and business executive who served as CEO of Pawame, a UAE-based social enterprise providing solar home systems to off-grid communities in Africa, from March 2017 to March 2023. He holds an MBA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business (2002-2004) and an M.A. in International Relations from University of Maryland. Prior to Pawame, he was Head of Corporate Development at Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (2011-2016), co-founded Nuviya Demand Management Solutions (2008-2010), and worked as Assistant Brand Manager at Procter & Gamble (2005-2007). He served as a Nuclear Submarine Officer in the United States Navy (1995-2002). Based in Milan, Italy, he also serves on the Board of Trustees at the American School of Milan as Strategic Planning Committee Chair.
