Mansoor is the CEO & co-founder of BBOXX, a company that develops, manufactures and distributes solar energy solutions to developing countries across Africa and Asia. Founded in 2010 by Mansoor and two fellow Imperial College London students, the company has enjoyed fast growth; it now employs more than 400 people across its markets and has brought reliable, clean electricity to more than 100,000 homes. Investors include Kholsa Impact, Synergy Growth, Bamboo Finance, Ceniarth, ENGIE, MKB&CO and DOEN. BBOXX stemmed from e.quinox, a charity started by Mansoor, Chris and Laurent during their final year at Imperial College. Through his charitable work, Mansoor obtained considerable experience in dealing with NGOs and governments in order to co-ordinate complex projects in the area of rural electrification. At BBOXX, Mansoor manages a diverse global team, which manufactures and distributes products at a global and local level. His specialities are rural electrification, renewable energy technology, business in Africa, developmental engineering, energy supply chain, and manufacturing. Mansoor also has industrial experience in the aerospace sector.
