As the co-founder and CEO of Husk Power Systems, I lead a global team of 600 professionals across the U.S., Asia, and Africa to deliver affordable, reliable, and clean energy to rural communities through innovative microgrid solutions. For over a decade, I have been passionate about solving the energy transition challenge for the millions of people living in energy poverty, and creating positive social and environmental impact through renewable energy. I have extensive experience in strategy, start-up ventures, and global management, spanning multiple industries and geographies. I have successfully raised over $150 million in capital from diverse investors, forged partnerships with various stakeholders, and influenced energy policies and regulations. I have also been recognized as a TIME100 Most Influential Business Leaders in Climate, a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader, and won the "AI for the Planet" award, among other honors. I am a frequent speaker and panelist on topics related to energy transition, energy policy, and social entrepreneurship. I hold an MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business, an MS in Electrical & Computer Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and a B.Tech in Electronics Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University), Varanasi.
