Mandla Shezi

Mandla Shezi is the Group Chief Executive Officer of Rand Mutual Assurance since February 2020. He has extensive experience in the insurance and financial services sector, previously serving as CEO of Hollard Insurance International and CEO of Hollard Life. Before entering the insurance industry in 2007, he worked in strategic and management consulting with Bain and Company, process engineering with Royal Dutch Shell and BP, and general management with SABMiller. He holds an MBA from the University of Cape Town, a B.Sc. (Hons) in Chemical Engineering from MIT, and completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School. He is a founding member of the National Society of Black Engineers in South Africa.
