
Malan Joubert is a South African software developer and serial entrepreneur with expertise in fintech, mobile payments, and developer platforms. He co-founded OfferZen in 2015 with his brother Philip Joubert and Brett Jones, creating a leading tech talent marketplace serving developers across South Africa and Europe. Previously, he founded FireID in 2006, an incubator that spun off multiple successful startups including SnapScan, a mobile payment platform that won MTN App of the Year in 2013. Joubert also co-founded JourneyApps in 2009, Luno (cryptocurrency exchange), and Root (insurtech platform). With a degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Stellenbosch University, he won the SAIEE National Student Project Competition in 2007 for his work on Swarm Robotic Colonies. He has experience operating in both South African and Silicon Valley startup ecosystems.
