Majd Chaaya

Majd Chaaya is a Canadian engineer and entrepreneur with over 15 years of experience in clean energy, manufacturing, and operations management. He holds an MSc in New Energy Technologies from Technische Universität Berlin and a BE in Industrial Engineering from Concordia University. Chaaya co-founded Pawame in 2016, serving as CTO and later COO, transforming energy access in underserved communities across Kenya. He led operations and technology development for the pay-as-you-go solar company until 2023. Currently at BURN Manufacturing, he previously served as Acting CIO and Managing Director of the Electric division, driving innovation in sustainable cooking solutions. His expertise spans process improvement, quality systems, solar energy engineering, and manufacturing optimization.
