Mahmoud Barakat is an Egyptian entrepreneur and investor with a strong background in finance and private equity. He holds a Bachelor's degree and MBA in economics and finance from the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management, and is a CFA charterholder. He began his career in private equity at Beltone Private Equity (BPE Partners) from 2015 to 2018, then joined his father's private equity fund, Foundation Ventures, as a Partner and Private Equity Analyst starting in 2019. Leveraging his finance expertise, Mahmoud founded Moko Chocolates, Egypt's premium artisanal chocolate brand, where he serves as Managing Director of the Egyptian Confectionery Manufacturing Company. He is also Founder and CHO of Werpx, a supply chain technology startup. Based in Cairo, Egypt, he focuses on consumer services and business development.
