Olalekan "Lekan" Akinyanmi is an international businessman, engineer, and philanthropist with over 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. He is the founder and CEO of LEKOIL Nigeria Limited, established in 2010, which has raised over $300 million and achieved major milestones including the Ogo field discovery in 2013 and first oil at Otakikpo Marginal Field in 2015, currently producing 11,000 barrels per day. Prior to LEKOIL, he was International Energy Sector Head at Alliance Bernstein L.P. in New York, managing a $1 billion portfolio, and held roles at UBS Investment Research and Schlumberger. He holds a first-class B.Sc. in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from Obafemi Awolowo University and an MBA from MIT Sloan. He is also founder and chairman of Cambridge Growth Partners and serves on the board of the Global Fund for Widows.
