I am driven by 4 key words, Passion, Innovation and Integrity and Excellence, which I refer to as my “PIE” and my DNA. These words play a key role in shaping my career and my life goals. My over 10 years of work experience which covers the whole spectrum of Investment Banking involving transactions across Africa gives me a vantage point. I am presently the GM/Head, Corporate Finance at North South Power Company Limited (“North South Power”). North South Power was established by a diverse group of Nigerian and African shareholders to own and operate a diverse and growing portfolio of electricity businesses across Africa. Presently North South Power owns the 30 year concession of the 600MW Shiroro Hydroelectric power plant located in Niger State of Nigeria and is currently developing a 300MW solar power project in Nigeria. For more information on North South Power please go to www.northsouthpower.com. I was formerly the Director and Head, Project and Infrastructure Finance at United Capital Plc formerly UBA Capital (Investment banking arm of UBA Plc) driving origination and execution of Energy and Infrastructure Transactions in Nigeria and across Africa. I successfully built the Project Finance Division to one of the leading (top 3) energy and infrastructure teams in Nigeria having raised/raising c.US$10 billion in capital for clients from local and international providers of capital. I spent 6 years in one of Nigeria’s leading independent investment banks, Vetiva Capital Management. At Vetiva, I rose up to be the Deputy Head of the Investment Banking Division. I was the pioneer head of the Capital Markets and Advisory Unit when the company won several industry awards, including: - Best New Investment Bank by EMEA Finance - M&A House of the year (2008) by SBA Research - Issuing House of the year (2008) I’m always interested in hearing from former colleagues and professionals in the industry.
