Dr. Khadija El-Bedweihy is an edtech entrepreneur and founder of PraxiLabs, providing 3D virtual science laboratories to democratize STEM education across the Middle East and Africa. She holds a PhD in Human-Computer Interaction from the University of Sheffield (2010-2014), where her research focused on semantic search, user experience, and how different users interact with technology. A top graduate from Cairo University's Faculty of Computers and Information, she became the youngest lecturer in her faculty before transitioning to entrepreneurship. In 2015, she founded Skolera, a unified learning management system, followed by PraxiLabs in 2016 with her sisters Safiya and Alaa. Her personal experience witnessing educational disparities between Egypt and the UK inspired her mission to solve education challenges through technology, particularly improving lab access for students in resource-limited contexts.
