Kailas Nair

Kailas develops and executes on strategies that deliver revenue, customer growth and societal impact. Kailas Nair is a co-founder and Chief Growth Officer at Plentify, a climatetech startup that connects home appliances to cheaper, cleaner energy. Before Plentify, he was the VP of North America at Vitality, an insurtech firm recognized by Fortune Magazine as one of the 50 Companies Changing the World. Based in New York, Kailas grew the division’s revenue fivefold over 3 years, and successfully entered the Canadian market. Earlier, as VP of Strategy, Kailas led the team that crafted the strategy and business model enabling Vitality to expand into 40 countries via partnerships with the biggest global health and life insurers. Kailas spent six years at McKinsey & Company at the start of his career, where he developed growth strategies for Fortune 500 companies in technology, financial services, and consumer goods. He holds a postgraduate degree in Electronic Engineering and an undergraduate degree in Computer Engineering, both cum laude. In his free time, Kailas enjoys long-distance running, having completed the Boston, New York, and Chicago marathons, as well as hiking, boxing, and exploring new tech. He currently splits his time between Cape Town and New York.
