Juan Engelbrecht

Juan Engelbrecht is a tech entrepreneur and financial professional with extensive experience in blockchain technology, cryptocurrency, and traditional finance. He currently serves as Managing Director at VortX Capital and QIE WALLET, focusing on digital ownership, cross-border payments, and financial inclusion through blockchain domains and decentralized finance (DeFi). He is the CEO and Founder of MOBU, a next-generation platform for compliant security token offerings. Previously, he was the CEO of Zabercoin ICO and managed one of the largest cryptocurrency mining operations in the Southern Hemisphere. His finance career includes roles as Portfolio Manager at Evolve Fund Managers and SA Asset Management, Investment Analyst at RFS Asset Management, and Equity Trader at Goldings, Torr & De Decker Stockbrokers. He holds a B.Comm. in Chartered Accounting from North West University and Honours B.Comm. in Cost and Management Accounting from University of South Africa, along with SAIS stockbroker qualifications.
