Josh Sandler is a tech entrepreneur and investor focused on emerging markets. He is the co-founder and CEO of Truetax, a technology platform leveraging GenAI to reduce the US tax gap. Previously, he co-founded and served as CEO of Lori Systems (2016-2024), a tech-driven logistics company coordinating trucking across Africa, which was recognized as a World Economic Forum Technology Pioneer in 2020 and won TechCrunch Battlefield Africa. A South African native who moved to the US, Sandler began his career in investment banking at Barclays Capital and Lehman Brothers, and private equity at Cressey & Company. He is an Obama Foundation Africa Fellow, Endeavor Entrepreneur, and has served as an advisor to various African technology startups. Sandler holds dual graduate degrees from Harvard University (MBA and MPA/ID, 2016) and a BBA in Finance from the University of Georgia Terry College of Business (2009).
