James Paterson is the Co-Founder and CEO of Aerobotics, an agricultural technology company focused on precision agriculture using AI, drones, and satellite imagery. He grew up on a fruit farm in the Clanwilliam area of South Africa, where his family grows citrus, avocados, and stone fruit. As an MIT Aerospace Engineer with a passion for robotics and agriculture, he co-founded Aerobotics in 2014 with Benji Meltzer to provide actionable data to farmers. During his studies, he worked extensively on drone systems, data analysis for search and rescue operations, and developed autonomous UAV planning algorithms.
