Israel Goytom

Israel Goytom is the Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer of Chapa, Ethiopia’s leading fintech payment gateway. An award-winning Ethiopian entrepreneur and researcher, he founded Chapa in 2020 to build secure payment infrastructure for ambitious businesses. With expertise in machine learning, fintech, and large language models, Israel drives Chapa’s technical vision. He previously studied at Université de Montréal and Ningbo University, and has received honors from the European Space Agency and China’s government.
