Ibrahim M. Saleh is an Egyptian legal entrepreneur and the Founder & CEO of Kouncel, MENA's first legal edtech platform providing on-demand legal education. After graduating with a law degree from Cairo University in 2012 following the Arab Spring, he faced employment barriers due to the gap between academic theory and practical legal skills. Following training at the American Bar Association, he founded MPL Legal Academy in 2016 to provide practical legal training in corporate law, intellectual property, and arbitration. In 2022, he launched Kouncel, offering Netflix-style legal courses across the MENA region. Under his leadership, Kouncel has empowered over 10,000 lawyers and secured $1.2 million from the African Development Bank, ASRT, and Zaldi Capital. He won 60,000 Euros in an African Development Bank competition in 2021 and has expanded operations into the Gulf region.
