
Ibrahim Farag is an Egyptian fintech entrepreneur and CEO of Nexta, a next-generation digital banking platform founded in 2021. He is a graduate of the fintech program at University of Oxford's Said Business School and serves as a researcher at University of Warwick in the UK. A member of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Institute and mentor at the UK CFA Society, Farag previously founded and led Diaspora Finance in London (2017), a trade finance challenger bank. His career spans roles in investment strategy, investment direction, and positions at FIMBank Cairo and Union National Bank Dubai. Under his leadership, Nexta secured $2.2 million in pre-seed funding in 2022 and obtained provisional licensing from Egypt's Central Bank to reimagine payments and money management.
