I have spent my career at the intersections of technology, financial services, and commercial strategy, with a particular emphasis on the commercialisation of disruptive technologies and the development of new markets. From humble beginnings on the corporate ladder (assembling PCs in a back room), I have been very fortunate to be exposed to many growth opportunities which have broadened my experience and skills. I have a deep commitment to continual learning, both through formal academic channels and as an autodidact. Since 2006, I’ve held senior executive roles in the MEA payments and fintech industry, spanning the full range of corporate activity - strategy, commercial development, operations, sales & marketing, finance and risk, and general management. My experience spans the full business lifecycle - from bootstrapped startups to management buy-out, venture capital and private equity investment, and public listing. Along the way, I’ve gained hands-on experience in capital raising (debt & equity) and mergers and acquisitions on both the buy and sell sides. I am energised by people, culture, and the dynamics of high-performing teams. I have had the amazing privilege of working alongside exceptional colleagues to build and scale renowned ventures. At the core of my work is a strong belief in the power of digital and financial inclusion to uplift individuals and communities. I am deeply motivated by the opportunity to drive meaningful change by expanding access to financial services across emerging markets. I co-founded enza with a bold vision: to lay the foundation for a new generation of financial services in Africa.
