
Gerald Otim is the Founder and CEO of Ensibuuko, a pioneering Uganda-based fintech company focused on financial inclusion across Africa. Founded in 2012, Ensibuuko provides cloud-based microfinance management software that helps small banking entities and cooperatives serve underserved communities. Growing up in a remote farming village in Uganda, Gerald witnessed the challenges faced by financially underserved populations, which inspired him to create accessible banking solutions. He transitioned from his role at Educate!, an education non-profit, during his Acumen Fellowship in 2014 to fully commit to building Ensibuuko. Under his leadership, the company processes millions in monthly transactions and serves over 500,000 users across Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, and Nigeria. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Development Economics from Makerere University.
