Eric Reynolds is a serial entrepreneur and social impact pioneer with over 50 years of experience building innovative companies. He co-founded Marmot in 1974 while at UC Santa Cruz, building it into one of the most iconic outdoor gear brands and an early adopter of Gore-Tex technology. After serving as CEO until 1987, he founded SweetWater (1993-1997), a communications infrastructure company, and Nau (2003-2006), an eco-friendly outdoor clothing maker. In 2008, Reynolds sold his assets and moved to Rwanda to establish Inyenyeri, a social enterprise delivering clean biomass cooking solutions to eliminate deaths from toxic emissions in developing countries. His career demonstrates consistent innovation in product design, sustainable business practices, and social entrepreneurship.
