In 2013, I saw an opportunity, and set up a budget apartment next to Nairobi International Airport. As Marketer, I decided to market it online. A year later we had 100% occupancy and decided to expand with 10 apartments. With my partner, we franchised our marketing experience and started marketing other hotels and then connecting to 50+ online booking channels, making our hotels accessible by 350,000+ travel agents worldwide. Focused on B2C processes within proved global online channels, our online hotel management system started to growt quickly and the inventory was offered to 50+ distribution channels including Booking and Expedia. Since then, and through the expansion of its partnerships with other global bookers, Savanna has been able to reach 450 partner hotels in 15 countries, automating their online hotel bookings. Some months ago, we merged with a polish hotel software company to form HotelOnline, the leading Hotel Marketing Technology group in Africa, that enables more than 500 hotels in 15 countries to take on the global hotel chains in the fight for online bookings.
