Duran Hamer

Duran Hamer is a South African entrepreneur and business leader specializing in financial technology and insurance. He holds a BSc Hons in Advanced Mathematics of Finance (with distinction) and a BSc in Actuarial Science from the University of the Witwatersrand. He co-founded Kopano, an insurtech company delivering scalable digital insurance solutions to emerging markets, and Syft Analytics in 2016, a financial reporting platform acquired by Xero for $70M USD. At Syft, he serves as GM Sales and Head of Partnerships. He also co-founded LOOM, South Africa's largest digital insurer. Currently, he is a Director at Williamson Fox Consulting and an entrepreneur and investor through Concatenate Capital. His experience includes roles at Discovery Limited and True North Partners.
