Dr. Charles Immanuel Akhimien is a medical doctor and social entrepreneur who co-founded MOBicure, a digital health company providing mobile technology solutions to address Africa's most challenging health problems. MOBicure's flagship product, the OMOMI app, has provided over 39,000 pregnant women and mothers in Nigeria with life-saving maternal and child health information. Charles is globally recognized as a thought leader in digital health and innovation. He is a 2019 Obama Foundation Leader, UN SDG Young Leader, 2017 UN Global Compact SDG Pioneer, One Young World Ambassador, 2016 Mandela Washington Fellow, and WHO AFRO Top 30 African Health Innovator. He graduated with an MBBS from the University of Benin in June 2013.
