Diana Owusu-Kyereko is a seasoned executive, entrepreneur and start up operator with over 13 years international experience in early and growth stage startups. She has a wide base of experience across multiple c-level functions, CEO, COO, CCO and fundraising. She was recently the co-founder and CEO of MAKA a video social commerce start-up; achieving product market fit and raising $2.3 million in pre-seed funding. MAKA became the top 10 downloaded app for shopping in both the app and play store within 12 months in Nigeria. Before that she was CEO of Jumia Ghana and a member of the Jumia Group-level executive team. Jumia Ghana is a subsidiary of the 1st tech unicorn in Africa to be listed on the NYSE (JMIA). In this capacity she led a team of 300+ employees, overseeing the e-commerce, on-demand (restaurants, instant delivery) & JumiaPay (Fintech) businesses. Diana holds a degree in German & European politics from the University of Leeds and a Masters in Management, Organisations, and Governance from the London School of Economics. She is a native English speaker and speaks German and Twi fluently.
