De Wet Swanepoel is a distinguished South African professor of audiology at the University of Pretoria, known for pioneering digital health and teleaudiology innovations to improve hearing care access in underserved communities globally. He directs the WHO Collaborating Centre for the Prevention of Deafness and Hearing Loss and serves as Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Audiology.
