Dawie de Villiers

Dawie de Villiers is the Group Chief Executive Officer of Alexforbes, a position he has held since November 2018. He is a Fellow of the Actuarial Society of South Africa (FASSA) with a BSc in Actuarial Science from Stellenbosch University and completed the Advanced Management Programme at INSEAD. With over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, de Villiers started his career at Sanlam in 1993 as an actuary in Sanlam Life Insurance, where he rose through the ranks holding several senior executive positions. He served as CEO of Sanlam Employee Benefits from 2013 to 2018 before joining Alexforbes. Under his leadership, Alexforbes has undergone strategic transformation to become a leading retail financial advice firm in South Africa, focusing on employee benefits, investment management, and creating meaningful impact for institutional clients and individual customers. He has been recognized as one of South Africa's most influential CEOs and received the ME Vision Academy award for outstanding leadership.
