David Wanjau is a dynamic and ambitious leader, an award-winning entrepreneur, and a passionate advocate for sustainable energy and community development. As the Founder & CEO of Deevabits Green Energy, David is leading the way in bringing clean, reliable solar power to under-served rural communities across Kenya. With over 12 years of experience in leadership, strategy, management, fundraising, business development, and innovation, David has the skills and expertise to make a real and lasting difference in the world. Before founding Deevabits, David spent 6 years in the non-profit sector, supporting smallholder farmers in becoming food secure through sustainable business models. David's dedication and hard work has turned Deevabits into a reputable leader in renewable energy, distributing and financing more than 30,000 solar products to households in rural communities and creating jobs for more than 500 youth and women. David is an alumnus of the Miller Centre for Social Entrepreneurship at Santa Clara University, Ongoza and a alumni of SHONA (formerly Unreasonable East Africa). Holds a B.Sc. in Biomedical Science and Technology from Egerton University and was the President of the Rotaract Club, David is a highly educated and dedicated professional, who is committed to making a real and lasting difference in the world. In his free time, he enjoys playing golf and traveling to learn about different cultures and ways of life.
