Purpose-driven entrepreneur on a life-long mission to tip the scales of unequal opportunities. Born in The Netherlands, but with roots in Indonesia, I am driven by balancing unequal opportunity, with much opportunity so glaringly present in my own life. After a failed attempt to do so through classic volunteering in Jakarta, I decided that purpose-driven entrepreneurship was the best way forward. I co-founded a business incubator for refugee entrepreneurs in the Netherlands, where I coached over 100 entrepreneurs from almost 20 different countries, including tech startups that went on to raise over $500,000 within a year of ideation. Two and a half years of coaching both traditional and tech companies gave me an accelerated understanding of (early) business success and how to build exceptional teams. Recently, after founding an angel fund seeking scalable impact in Africa, I became Co-Founder at Kwara in Kenya. We are revolutionizing the cooperative financial sector in emerging markets by turning impactful savings cooperatives into digital banks.
