Dan Rosa

Daniel Rosa is Vice President Sales at Ignite Power (formerly Ignite Energy Access), Africa's largest distributed renewable energy company. He also serves as Director at westa.solar and is a 2024 Fellow of the Clean Energy Leadership Institute. Previously, he was Co-Founder and CEO of Oolu from January 2017 to March 2024, and Co-Founder and COO from March 2014 to December 2016. Oolu was founded in 2015 with Nilmi Senaratna and incubated in Y Combinator (Summer 2015). The company provides off-grid households in West Africa with solar energy solutions. He worked as Energy Policy Consultant at K&L Gates from 2011-2012, where he researched and covered congressional developments for energy sector clients. Before founding Oolu, he researched off-grid solar models in South Asia and West Africa and lived in rural Senegal. Oolu was recognized as a World Economic Forum Technology Pioneer in 2022.
