Chinye Onwordi

Chinye Onwordi is an accomplished business executive, entrepreneur, and finance professional with nearly 20 years of experience spanning retail banking, foreign exchange management, and agribusiness. He currently serves as the Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Eden Farms Limited, where he has led the company from startup to a thriving agricultural value chain business generating over ₦200 million in annual revenue and supplying premium restaurants and export markets across Nigeria. Before transitioning into entrepreneurship, Chinye built a distinguished career in the Nigerian banking sector, holding progressive positions at Ecobank Plc, BankPHB, Keystone Bank, Wema Bank Plc, and Heritage Bank Ltd. During this period, he developed extensive expertise in retail and SME banking, credit analysis, relationship management, business development, treasury operations, and strategic sales leadership. He also served as Chief Dealer at Masha Allah Bureau De Change, where he managed multi-currency trading operations, foreign exchange sourcing, regulatory compliance, and currency risk management, providing strategic solutions in treasury and foreign exchange markets. Recognized for his strategic thinking and operational excellence, Chinye has successfully built high-performing teams, developed scalable business systems, and cultivated strong stakeholder relationships across the banking and agricultural sectors. His leadership combines financial discipline with entrepreneurial innovation, enabling sustainable business growth in dynamic and challenging environments. Chinye holds a Master of International Law and Diplomacy and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science, both from the University of Lagos.
