Chijioke Dozie is the CEO and co-Founder of OneFi, a leading African Mobile-First Consumer Lending Business. OneFi has disbursed over $40mm to consumers since inception and is targeting $45mm in 2018. In April 2016, OneFi ignited the consumer finance revolution in Nigeria, the most promising and challenging market in Sub-Saharan Africa, with the launch of its Paylater app which uses Machine Learning to score thin-file customers in real time. Paylater has disbursed over 400k loans since 2016, has over 100,000 active customers and processes >5,000 loan applications daily. Customers are scored using over 1,000 features from their smartphone using a proprietary scoring algorithm with funds disbursed 24-7 within 5 minutes of approval with no human intervention. We are in the top #5 for Finance apps (and #55 overall) in Google Play in Nigeria ahead of Uber. OneFi is a fast growing business (17%/month in 2017 with 2018 projected to be >100% year on year), well funded (series A raised $20m in equity & debt) and our talented team of 45 is spread between Lagos, Cape Town and San Francisco with a London office opening in Q3 2018.
