Ashraf Zaki

Ashraf has over 25 years of experience in the Information Technology industry on an international scale, including the Middle East, North America, Europe, Africa and the Far East. He started his career as a software engineer. From 1991 to 1996 he played a well-recognized role in shaping the growth of the Middle Eastern Information Technology industry and became one of the leading IT figures in the region. Starting 1996 he co-founded and managed an E-commerce focused technology organization and established a leading model for a new economy operation between North America and the Middle East. Over the following few years, Ashraf has grown the business to achieve a highly successful acquisition by a global IT conglomerate followed by an IPO on the NYSE; then continued to lead the organization into an era of global expansion and technology leadership. Ashraf is the Chairman & CEO of CIT Global, an international eCommerce/mCommerce software solutions provider with business delivered in more than 40 countries around the world. CIT Global is a holding and operating company with different subsidiaries operating as independent business divisions. Current Focus is on Mobile financial services, ePayment software solutions & services and Mobile software technologies. Currently, Ashraf is leading CIT VERiCASH, as the Executive Chairman. The company developed an innovative software platform to enable a new ecosystem of collaborative mobile financial services, empowering financial inclusion in emerging markets.
