Biography

Arnoud de Vroomen is CEO and co-founder of SolarWorks!, the leading pay-as-you-go energy provider to off-grid homes in Mozambique and Malawi, having connected over 50,000 customers since founding the company in 2009. He previously served as COO at OneCarbon, a carbon credit originator, and held roles at Unilever in finance, strategy, and business development. He also served as Finance, Sales and Marketing Director at BushProof. With a background in econometrics and finance, he traveled extensively through Africa documenting innovation and entrepreneurship before co-founding SolarWorks! with Bernard Hulshof. Currently, he also serves as CEO of Carboncause, a carbon capture and storage company based in Madrid focusing on hard-to-abate industries.
