Amr Helmy

Amr Helmy is Co-Founder and CTO of Shift EV, an electric mobility technology startup electrifying fleets in emerging markets. He holds a PhD in Micro and Nano Electronics from Université Grenoble Alpes (2010) and a BSc in Computer Engineering from Cairo University (2005). His career spans academic research and teaching at institutions including Zewail City of Science and Technology, American University in Cairo, and Nile University, as well as corporate research at Intel Labs. He co-founded Empower Energy Systems in 2018. His expertise encompasses electric vehicle technology, battery systems, renewable energy, micro/nano-electronics, networks on chip, and low-power circuit design.
