I will never forget the moment I was told that nothing more could be done for my horse. At the time, I was just a young girl who loved her horse, and with that call, my world as I knew it came crashing down. That moment shaped my career—it made me relentless in my pursuit of scientific solutions that offer hope where none existed before. Since then, I’ve built and scaled multiple companies at the intersection of regenerative medicine, medical devices, and therapeutic innovation, bringing novel therapies to market and driving their commercialisation. As CEO of Regenesis Vet, I led the development and commercialisation of the world’s first systemic regenerative medicine treatment for horses, now used in 15+ countries across 5 continents. Today, I am the Co-Founder & CEO of Altera Biosciences, a venture-backed biotech company developing a universal donor cell platform. One of the biggest challenges in cell and organ transplantation is the limited supply of donors—and even when donors are available, finding a suitable match remains a major barrier. For those who do receive transplants, lifelong immunosuppression is often required. At Altera, we’re working to change that by developing immune-evasive, universal donor cells—designed to be used in any patient, without the need for donor matching or ongoing immune suppression. I am motivated by the impossible. I dream of a world where fewer patients are told that there are no options left. The past shaped me, but the future is where I focus—building a world where hope is engineered at a cellular level.
