Ahmed Hashem

Ahmed Hashem is a fintech and digital payments professional based in Cairo, Egypt. He co-founded valU, Egypt's leading Buy-Now-Pay-Later (BNPL) lifestyle enabling solution, where he served in various leadership roles from 2017 to 2023, including Chief Commercial Officer and Group Chief Sales and Retail Officer. His career spans over 15 years in banking and fintech, starting at Barclays Bank Egypt in 2007, then advancing through various positions at the National Bank of Egypt from 2009 to 2017, where he supervised e-commerce and mPOS operations. Subsequently, he worked as Commercial Country Manager and Deputy CEO KSA at PayTabs Global. His expertise encompasses fintech, lending, digital payments, banking, commercial strategy, business development, vendor acquisition, and relationship management across Egypt and KSA markets.
